Podargus strigoides | "Tawny frogmouths are a nocturnal bird that relies on camouflage during the day, mimicking the appearance of a tree branch. They are generally silver-grey in colour and have bright yellow eyes. When I was waling past the Yarra river in Melbourne during the nighttime, I have just sighted this magnificent view of the city skyline. The colours were astonishing and the reflection in the river just doubles the effect. Since I’m always with my camera in my bag, I couldn’t leave anything to chance and captured this wonderful sight for others to see.
